frequently asked questions
What is homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a system of medicine using natural, non-toxic remedies which stimulate the body’s own healing processes. Homeopathy treats the whole person by recognising the relationship between mind, body and emotions, thereby addressing the underlying cause as well as the symptoms.
Does homeopathy have any toxic side-effects?
No. Homeopathic remedies are free from toxic side-effects.
Is homeopathy safe to use during pregnancy?
Yes. NHS Direct recommends homeopathy as a suitable drug-free form of treatment to use during pregnancy. For more information click here.
How do supplements help?
Western diets are often lacking in essential minerals due to modern farming methods and we are frequently exposed to toxic substances such as lead and mercury, all of which can affect reproductive health. Nutritional supplements help to replenish mineral levels and eliminate toxic substances from the body, in order to restore optimal reproductive function.
How will my mineral and toxicity levels be checked?
This will be done via a tissue mineral analysis, using a hair sample taken at home and then analysed in our labs. Hair mineral levels are tested because these provide an accurate representation of mineral levels held in the rest of the body. Based on your results, a full report will be produced by our nutritionist detailing any mineral deficiencies and/or toxic substances in your system, along with individualised dietary advice and a personalised supplementation plan.
Can I start the treatment if I have already tried other fertility treatment?
Yes. The Juno Natural Fertility treatment can be followed alongside other fertility treatment or if other treatment has been unsuccessful. It is designed to restore balance to your reproductive system, to enable you to conceive naturally.
Can I start the treatment if I am taking prescribed medication?
Yes. Homeopathic remedies are safe to use alongside prescribed medication and your individualised supplementation programme will take into account any medication you are on.
If you are currently taking any medication, we recommend you inform your GP when starting the treatment.
Can I decide if the treatment is right for me before committing to it?
Yes. We will discuss your circumstances at the initial consultation in order to confirm that the treatment is suitable for you. This is your opportunity to ask any questions you may have and you are under no obligation to continue if you choose not to.
Can the treatment work for an individual as well as for a couple?
The treatment may be successful if followed by only one partner, although this will depend on your individual circumstances which can be discussed at your initial consultation. We normally recommend that both partners have treatment, as there may be multiple factors involved in your conception problems which do not always show up in medical test results.
How long are the consultations?
The initial consultation lasts 1 hour 30 minutes and follow-up consultations last 30 minutes.
Which homeopath will my consultations be with?
The homeopath you see will depend on which clinic location is most suitable for you. For more information please call 0845 423 8962 or email info@junonaturalfertility.com.
